September 23, 2011 No Comments

So, why is it called Pietersite? Well it was originally discovered in 1962 in Africa by a man named Sid Pieters. It is quite a rare crystal and is only found in 2 places in the world – Africa and China.

It is known as the Tempest stone due to its connection to stormy weather and is also said by some to “hold the keys to the kingdom of heaven”.

Pietersite is widely used in meditation as it has been seen to give you quick access to a very high state of altered awareness. It is used to stimulate the third eye of the chakra.

Pietersite can boost your morale and heighten your self esteem which is just the job for teenagers who are struggling to find their place in not only their peer groups but also in society.

So, what healing properties does Pietersite have?

Well if you suffer from PMS, then Pietersite is your stone. Is is also used for improving memory and improves nutrition.
